AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Ryan and Wright of Greenlands Ward have requested:
(i) £100 to The Fylde Ex-Service Liaison Committee as a contribution towards the purchase of a new Union Flag for the Fylde Arboretum at Moor Park Road.
(ii)£500 to Low Moor Garden Group as a contribution towards the purchase of plants and baskets to improve the look of the area and for the Blackpool in Bloom Event.

Councillors Cross and Rowson of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £600 as a donation to the Tramshed Theatre Company for musical instruments for the “Memories Through Music” Project.

Councillor M Mitchell of Layton Ward has requested £15,000 to Aspired Futures Limited at 5 Grenfell Avenue as funding to provide community development activities to include drop-in facilities, to organise community events and to provide a source of information and advice for the community.

Councillors Evans and Stansfield of Stanley Ward have requested £420 as funding for the purchase and installation of road markings at the junction of Limechase Close and Midgeland Road.

Councillors Brown and Delves of Warbreck Ward have requested £5,205 as funding to substantially upgrade the Warbreck Hill Road Play Area.

Councillor Mrs Haynes of Hawes Side Ward has requested £247 as a donation to BEAT Limited to assist with works to rub down and repaint all fencing round the community garden at Bostonway, and repaint garden bench and planters with the garden.
